Where therapy is more than a conversation…
It’s an experience!
We appreciate what it takes to reach out for an appointment. We’ve been there.
LIKE OTHER PLACES, Good at Life Counseling provides an understanding and collaborative experience that allows you to focus on growing, healing, grieving, coping, etc.
UNIQUELY, Good at Life counselors integrate experiential activities both inside the comfort of the office and outside in the healing element of nature. ARCHERY - HIKING - WALK AND TALK…just to name a few.
We are here to support you in ways that are relevant to what you need and to what you’re going through.
If you could have resolved it on your own, you likely would have already done it by now.
Let’s try together!
Here are a few examples of things we address in counseling:
-How to communicate and effectively set boundaries.
-How to better understand your unique mental health and how that positively or negatively affects your relationships and decision making.
-Parenting issues - Anxiety -Depression
-Faith Integration -Foster and Adoption Issues
-Life Transition -Trauma From Sexual, Physical, or Emotional Abuse
-Grief and Loss (including those affected by suicide, violent loss, anticipatory grief, ambiguous loss and disenfranchised grief)
-Relationship Trauma -Self-Esteem
-Trauma Informed Parenting
Every breathing person can benefit from a helping relationship. That may or may not be with a therapist but we trust that you will know when it’s time to get someone else involved.

No one approach or tool can work for every client. 10 years of experience as a counselor in various agencies increases the ways I can uniquely respond to you. (resume stuff at the bottom) I take a client centered approach using evidence based theories such as Narrative and Solution Focused Therapies to collaborate with clients in working toward freedom and a higher quality of life.
I was born and raised in San Antonio and I am a foster and adoptive mom. Coffee makes my day, cats do not. I identify as a Christian and hot mess most days. I am trained in EMDR and certified as a Level 1 Archery Coach.
